About Wellness Therapies

Upon graduating from college with an accounting degree, I immediately entered into corporate America.  Eight years later, I knew it was time to pursue something new.  With encouragement from my family, I decided it was time to make a change.  My desire was to have a career where I felt I was making a difference.  I wanted to assist people in doing things to improve their quality of life and also improve the quality of my own.  Within two weeks, I was enrolled in the massage program at Phoenix College.  I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2001.

I am a graduate of a 400-hour oncology massage program with The Peregrine Institute of Oncology Massage Training (PIOMT). The format of this program has not only provided me with the knowledge to work with cancer patients safely, but it has also allowed me an opportunity to better know myself.  This program offered unparalleled knowledge and support in all aspects of working with cancer patients.

In my massage practice I see a variety of clients.  Those struggling with migraines, neck/back issues, diabetes, arthritis, and some who simply desire an hour to take care of themselves.  The information I have gained from the program at PIOMT can be applied to any client who walks through my door.  I love gaining knowledge from which my clients (and I) can benefit.

My massage career and my continuing education sustain my desire to facilitate and support others in achieving their goals.
